In Seal Hunter you are able to mod (modificate = change) graphics, sounds, music & fonts. Notice that modifying graphics or sounds will make you unable to play ranked matches. Leveling, getting XP, achievements and playing other ranked matches will be impossible. However you can still host rooms (unranked matches) and any other player will be able to join you! Before you change the graphics or sounds, its recommended to make a copy of the Seal Hunter folder. If something will went wrong, you can restore the damaged files. Modding graphics: 1. Download the Grabber Tool. It's a zip file, extract it wherever you want. 2. Open this tool with admin rights. Go to File - Load and open this file: C:/Program Files/Seal Hunter/data/gfx.dat Press OK to load. 3. Now you are able to see the sprites from the game. If you want to change a sprite, select one, go to Object - Export and save it whereever you want. 4. Edit the picture in a picture editor (paint / photoshop). Remember that the purple area on the picture is transparent. Save it as a 24-bit BMP file. 5. After this go to Object - Grab and select the image you edited. 6. Now save your works by clicking on File - Save and press OK! Modding sounds: 1. Download the Grabber Tool. It's a zip file, extract it wherever you want. 2. Open this tool with admin rights. Go to File - Load and open this file: C:/Program Files/Seal Hunter/data/sfx.dat Press OK to load. 3. Now you are able to see the sounds from the game. If you want to change a sound, select one, go to Object - Export and save it whereever you want. 4. Edit the sound in a sound editor (audacity). Save it as a WAV file. 5. After this go to Object - Grab and select the sound you edited. 6. Now save your works by clicking on File - Save and press OK! Modding music: 1. Go to Seal Hunter's music folder: C:/Program Files/Seal Hunter/music 2. Make sure your music file has the OGG extension (*.ogg), if not, use the Free Audio Converter or use the Online OGG Converter. 3. Rename your music file to Seal Hunter's music file. So if you have a mymusic.ogg, you should rename it to menu.ogg to make it play in the menu. Watch the following table for a detailed explanation:
4. After this, replace your readymade music with Seal Hunter's music file. Modding fonts: 1. Go to Seal Hunter's fonts folder: C:/Program Files/Seal Hunter/fonts 2. Download some fonts. Notice that the fonts should have the TTF extension (*.ttf). 3. Rename your font file to Seal Hunter's font file.
