The farming or turtle hold is a special feature, which can be activated by holding the turtle boss in level 4. To to do so, you have to keep the turtle alive for 3 minutes after it spawns. We know that the turtle hides its head if you shoot on its shell. The turtle takes damage if you shoot on the head, but if you shoot on the shell, no damage will be taken. To push the turtle back, use guns with a high recoil like the Shotgun, Punt Gun, Dual Macs or Minigun. Now, if you keep the turtle back for 3 minutes, a huge army of enemies will spawn (that's something around 370 enemy kills). The first spawning enemy type is usually brown seals or penguins. The next coming enemies are Activists, Seal Cubs, Fat Seals.
After you finished all these enemies, the usual level 5 starts. On an automatic 1-player game brown seals spawn first, then, around 9000 kills, penguins spawn. Your SH game may lag or even crash because of the large amount of enemies, especially if your cpu and graphics card are not good. Should look something like this.. It's not recommended to farm to the end with 1 or 2 players, because you can't concentrate on the enemy killing and turtle holding at the same time. However... The loadout you should use on 1 player is: Magnum - Shotgun / M79 - Minigun The loadout you should use on 2 players is: Player 1, 2: Magnum - Shotgun - Minigun + [Punt Gun] The loadout you should use on 3 players is: Player 1, 2: Magnum - Shotgun - Punt Gun Player 3: Magnum - Shotgun - Minigun + [Punt Gun] The loadout you should use on 4 players is: Player 1, 2, 3: Magnum - Shotgun - Punt Gun Player 4: Magnum - Shotgun - Minigun + [Punt Gun] The guy, who will cover the turtle (with punt) must be boosted! You have to to plant mines before the enemies spawn and one of your team mates must plant mines while holding. Penguins will slide extremely fast, so it will be hard to catch all of them at the beginning! Plant 2-3 vertical lines of mines - that's safer. Next hard thing are the Activists and the Seal Cubs. Seal Cubs will lag and won't die by the first time. Often they cross the game field and eat all your mines, but you won't lose. That's why you or one of your team mates have to plant mines, while the rest of the team cover the game field. 1 Player: Take minigun and farm till the penguins or activists. It's hard to not to lose on single player, so kill the turtle at the penguins or activists, because the next waves of enemies will spawn as wide as on a 4 players game. 2 Players: Both go minigun, then, at the penguins or activists, switch to the punt gun. Same as for single player: kill the turtle at the penguins or activists. It's almost not possible to finish the farming with 2 guys. 3 Players: 2 guys go punt, 1 guy goes minigun and then, at the penguins or activists, punt. 1 guy (with punt) must always stay at the turtle to hold it back. The rest of the team should position themselves so that the spray of the punt covers the whole game field. You will have to go up and down to let the spray hit all enemies. 4 Players: 3 guys go punt, 1 guy goes minigun and then, at the penguins or activists, punt. 1 guy (with punt) must always stay at the turtle to hold it back. The rest of the team should position themselves so that the spray of the punt covers the whole game field. Player 4 should plant mines, while the team covers him (reposition yourself, go up and down with punt to cover the whole game field).
To interrupt the turtle hold, just kill the turtle with Grenades, the M79, AWP, Minigun or Punt Gun. Explored by Эдди Калевый! Edited by 2xD. |
