Guides, tips & tricks # Hosting a Seal Hunter Game

Your server has a "???" ping and nobody can connect to you? Because Seal Hunter doesn't support NAT punchthrough yet, you have to manually forward the game port 33678 UDP. If you do not know how to do this, follow these steps:

1. Find your router model in the list on portforward.com.
If you can't find your exact model, try one that is somewhat similar.

2. Since Seal Hunter is obviously not in their list of applications, click "Default Guide".

3. Follow the instructions. Yes, this might be a bit tricky, but it's something that you only need to do once.

4. When the guide tells you to type in a port or a range of ports alongside a protocol, you want to use port 33678, protocol UDP or UDP/TCP. 33678 is the default port for hosting games - you can choose your own port on the Start Game tab inside the game, if you like, but the default will work just fine.

5. You're all done! Go host some games.
If hosting is still not working, try to portforward Seal Hunter through your internal / external firewall. Portforward UDP 33678 or UDP & TCP. Also put Seal Hunter to the exception list to avoid problems. Please google how to do that in your firewall.

Hosting problems may also be caused by your anti-virus. Disable it and try to host. If it will work, put Seal Hunter to the exception list, so the anti-virus will not block its connections. Please google how to do that in your anti-virus.
